Requirements For New Cat Owners

Information about cat adoption

All interviews and viewing of cats are made by appointment only.

All homing of animals will occur after the potential owner has been interviewed.

Adoption of cats can only be made to adults over the age of 18 years.

Kittens are required to be neutered. Should you choose a cat that has not yet been neutered, we would usually require the neutering to be done before you take the cat from the Sanctuary.

Cats can be roamers and may develop serious infections such as enteritis and cat flu. Many of the cats have no history because they are foundlings, and therefore some may not be house trained.

If you are not prepared to take the trouble to give one of our cats a fair chance, then we feel you should not be thinking of becoming an owner.
